Promoting health through prediabetes prevention programs
Agency 39A collaborated with the American Medical Association to create a comprehensive digital strategy for their Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). This initiative increased clinical screenings and referrals to CDC-recognized lifestyle change programs, significantly lowering participants' risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes by up to 58%.
Challenges:
People diagnosed with diabetes incur on average $16,750 annually in medical expenses, which is about 2.3 times the medical expenses of a person without diabetes. Agency 39A and the AMA's joint goal was to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes and its associated costs. The AMA sought to increase clinical screening rates and referrals of prediabetes patients to CDC-recognized lifestyle change programs.
Solutions:
Our collaboratice approach involved key stakeholdersresulting in digital transformation strategy. This included UX and UI design, content development, CMS design, and development, as well as promotion and awareness activities. The solution also involved calculating the benefits, cost savings, and ROI of program enrollment and completion, making it easier to understand the data.
