Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies, to gather insights into user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define research objectives, select appropriate methodologies, and develop research plans.
- Analyze and synthesize research findings, translating insights into actionable recommendations that inform design decisions and strategies.
- Create and present clear and compelling research reports, personas, journey maps, and other deliverables that communicate research insights to internal teams and clients.
- Contribute to the development of design guidelines, best practices, and standards based on research insights.
- Foster a culture of empathy and user-centered thinking within the organization, advocating for the user's perspective throughout the design and development process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in design research, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in design research or a similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating successful research projects.
- Proficiency in various research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
